Terms of Service

Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Subtext ("the Service"), operated by Copiapoa Technologies, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What Subtext is

Subtext is a platform that allows creators to turn private group conversations into subscribable, anonymized posts delivered by email. Creators invite our AI agent into a group chat on iMessage, WhatsApp, or Telegram. The agent produces summarized posts that the creator reviews and approves before publication.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

Creator responsibilities

If you create a Subtext, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from group participants before adding the AI agent to a conversation. You must review every post before it is published to subscribers. You may not use the Service to distribute content that is defamatory, illegal, or that infringes the rights of others.

Creators set the price for their Subtext. Revenue share terms are governed by the Creator Agreement provided during onboarding. We reserve the right to withhold payouts if we reasonably suspect fraud or violation of these terms.

Subscriber responsibilities

Subscribers may access published posts for personal, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute, republish, or resell Subtext content without the creator's explicit permission. Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis and can be cancelled at any time. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and our refund policy.

Intellectual property

Published posts are owned by the creator of the Subtext. Subtext retains a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute the content to subscribers. The Subtext name, logo, and platform software are the property of Copiapoa Technologies, Inc.

Anonymization and content accuracy

Our AI agent produces third-person summaries with no names, direct quotes, or attribution. While we design our systems to preserve anonymity, we do not guarantee that all personally identifiable information will be removed in every case. Creators are responsible for reviewing posts before publication. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

Prohibited conduct

You may not use the Service to: reverse-engineer the AI agent or platform; attempt to de-anonymize group participants; distribute spam, malware, or phishing content; impersonate another person or entity; circumvent access controls or security measures; or use automated tools to scrape or extract content.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Copiapoa Technologies, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
